The Layer Up Hackathon at the Cardano Summit has demonstrated once again how structured support can transform emerging ideas into real, deployable blockchain solutions.
This year’s edition brought together 134 developers across 92 teams, competing in two dedicated tracks designed for both seasoned Cardano builders and innovators entering from other ecosystems. Engineering teams from Bloxbean, Masumi, Mesh, and the Cardano Foundation provided hands-on support throughout the intensive week-long program.

Final submissions showcased a diverse range of applications, spanning health technology, governance, AI integration, environmental intelligence, and education. A follow-up mini-program is set to help the most promising projects progress from prototype to real-world implementation.
🏆 First place in the Cardano Foundation track was awarded to BioFlow, led by Florian Krüger-Herbert, recognizing its outstanding innovation and execution.
